Referral Process

Our referral process for foodbank provision throughout the year, provides a quick and safe way for referring agencies to refer clients to Shrewsbury Foodbank. Below is a form to complete which allows us to gather the information we need to continue the process.

The process increases efficiency by allowing referring agencies to quickly complete this step without the need for a phone call or email conversation. Please provide accurate information to ensure we are able to contact the client effectively.

Once you have made your referral you will receive an automatic acknowledgement via the email address you give us. Upon receipt you need to tell the client to attend the next available session. You will only be contacted by phone if there is an issue with the referral. The client will receive a text to advise them of the referral.

Who can refer someone to food bank?

We work with lots of professional organisations who refer clients to us. All clients attending food bank must have a referral.

I think I need a referral. Who can do this for me?
