How can I access Foodbank?

Every client needs a referral to access foodbank. If you need a referral, you can contact, for example, your housing association, GP, support worker or school, and if none of these apply, the Local Support and Prevention Team on 0345 678 9078.

What can I donate?

We have a shopping list of items that go into our parcels, this can be found on our donations page. Every week we also update our Items in Demand list which consists of the items we are running low on that week. This is posted on our Facebook page every Wednesday, and you can also find this on our Shrewsbury Foodbank Page.

Where can I donate?

We are open at Barnabas (Longden Coleham, SY3 7DN) for donations on: Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am - 12pm. You can also donate at supermarket donation points, these can be found in local Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Co-op, these get collected regularly.

What items can’t you accept?

There are a few items we can't accept donations of, these include secondhand bedding and household items, out of date food, and any food open or damaged.

What are your opening times?

We are open for donations at Barnabas (Longden Coleham, SY3 7DN) on:

Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 9.30am - 12pm.

What covid safety measures are in place?

Masks must be worn as you enter the building and we have a strict 2 metre social distancing policy in place.
